Teach our kids
Grace International School teaches the children of YWAM families and hundreds of other missionary kids, from more than twenty countries. It needs teachers. Without them, the families cannot stay.
The need
A family cannot stay if there is nowhere for their children to learn.
This is the least discussed reason missionary families leave the field. Not discouragement, not funding, not danger. Schooling. A family will serve in a hard place for years and then go home because their eldest is fourteen and there is no viable option in front of them.
Grace International School exists so that families across Southeast Asia have that option in Chiang Mai. It is an established, independent school, and it is where many YWAM staff children go.

What it involves

Teachers at Grace who come through YWAM are YWAM staff. Like all YWAM staff, and like Grace's teachers generally, they raise their own support rather than drawing a salary. That is the single most important practical fact about this role and we would rather you met it here than three conversations in.
It is not a hidden catch, it is how the whole organisation works, and thousands of people do it. But it changes what applying looks like. You are not negotiating a package, you are building a support base, and it takes time to do properly.
What we cannot tell you from this page is what it takes in your case: a realistic monthly figure, how long support raising usually takes, whether a teaching certification is required and which, whether you would need to complete a DTS first, and who handles the visa and work permit. Ask us. Those answers exist, they are just not ours to publish unverified.
